If there's a new firmware version available and you've installed and opened the Insta360 Link Controller, you'll be prompted to update once the camera is connected. You can simply click on the "..." icon on the top control bar of Link Controller, then select "Settings" > "About Us" and follow the onscreen instructions to update.
Method 2: Updating Firmware via U-Disk Mode
- Use the included USB-C data cable to connect the camera to your computer.
- Press the touch key three times and the indicator light will flash blue. Then press and hold the touch button for another 5 seconds, and the indicator light will stay solid blue, indicating the device has entered U-Disk mode. You will see a hard drive named "INSTA360" in "My Computer."
- Copy the latest firmware update file downloaded from Insta360's official website to the hard drive named "INSTA360".
- Unplug and plug in the webcam, and the firmware update will be completed after restarting the webcam.
Notes:
- Do not disconnect the USB connection during the firmware upgrade process.
- Do not operate the device during the firmware upgrade.
