Reason

When activating the virtual camera driver, your computer's antivirus software may mistakenly identify it as a potential threat. This can lead to the driver being blocked or deleted, leading to installation failure.

Solution

1. Add Insta360 Link Controller to trusted list

Temporarily disable your antivirus software or adjust its settings to add an exception for Insta360 Link Controller.

Example (Using 360 Total Security as an example):

  • Method 1: Open 360 Total Security, click "Virus Scan" > "Trust List" in the bottom right, and add Insta360 Link Controller to the list. Afterwards, try reinstalling Insta360 Link Controller.
  • Method 2: Open 360 Total Security, click the main menu in the top right > "Settings" > "Trust List", and add Insta360 Link Controller to the list. Afterwards, try reinstalling Insta360 Link Controller.

2. Check client version

Ensure you are installing the latest version of Insta360 Link Controller, as older versions might have compatibility issues.

How to check the version: In Insta360 Link Controller, click the "..." icon in the upper right corner > Settings > About Us.
