While using Insta360 Link Controller, it is recommended that you update it promptly to unlock new features, fix known issues, and enhance your overall experience. The following instructions outline the operational steps for your reference to check your current version and update to the latest one.

How to check Insta360 Link Controller version?

1. Settings menu: In the upper right corner of the client's main interface, click the "..." icon > tap "Settings".
2. View version information: In the dropdown menu, select "About Us" to see the "Controller Version".

How to Update Insta360 Link Controller?

Method 1: Update within the client as prompted

When a new version is available, the client interface will display a noticeable prompt. Please follow these steps:

1. Find update notification: Launch the client. Look for the "..." icon in the upper right corner of the main interface. If a red dot appears above this icon, it indicates a new version is available.
2. Initiate update: Click the "..." icon with the red dot. Select "About Us" from the dropdown menu.
3. Download installer: In the "About Us" window, click the "Update Now" button. Your default web browser will open automatically and begin downloading the installer.
4. Run installer:
   • After the download completes, click "Open File" in your browser or download list.
   • If the system pops up a User Account Control (UAC) window asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device, select "Yes".
5. Complete installation: Follow the subsequent prompts to finish the installation.

Please note: It is normal for the client to close automatically during the installation process.
