High audio quality is crucial for scenarios like live streaming and video meeting. The microphones support multiple audio modes, volume adjustment, and can even be used independently. This article outlines how to adjust audio settings and provides answers to some FAQ related to audio and microphones, helping you quickly unlock high-quality audio experience.

How to adjust volume and mute

Method 1: Via Insta360 Link Controller

• Older version of Link Controller

Click the "..."icon in the upper right corner to open "Settings" > select Insta360 Link 2, Link 2C, Link 2 Pro or Link 2C Pro under "Audio Device" > drag the Volume slider to adjust the volume. Dragging it all the way to the left (0) mutes the microphone.

• New version of Link Controller (v2.2.1 and later)

Click the microphone icon in the bottom left corner and select Insta360 Link 2, Link 2C, Link 2 Pro or Link 2C Pro as the audio device.

Click the "..." icon in the top right corner > "Settings" > check the box "Use Computer to Adjust Microphone Volume".

Drag the volume slider to adjust the volume. Dragging the slider to 0 turns off audio input.

Method 2: Via your computer system settings

Open the computer settings, navigate to "Sound" > "Input" > "Volume", and adjust the microphone input volume or mute it.

Please note:

• Insta360 Link Controller does not support volume adjustment for third-party microphones. For such adjustments, please refer to Method 2.
• If the volume slider is not available, please update your Link 2 Series camera firmware and Insta360 Link Controller to latest version.

Audio modes of Link series

Link 2 and Link 2C:

• Voice Focus: Effectively eliminates ambient noise, highlights your voice, and restores a natural, authentic sound, ideal for quiet environments.
• Voice Suppression: Intelligently filters out surrounding human voices and ambient noise to ensure clear conversations, ideal for noisy environments.
• Music Balance: Preserves the original sound of background music by disabling AI noise reduction, making live streams and creative projects more vivid and pleasant.

Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro:

FAQ

1. Does the Link series support muting or volume adjustment?

Link does not support volume adjustment. Link 2, Link 2C, Link 2 Pro, and Link 2C Pro support it (using the methods described above).

2. Does the camera automatically remember the selected audio mode in Insta360 Link Controller?

Yes, it does. The camera will automatically retain the last set audio mode after restarting.

3. If I restart the camera and use streaming software without opening Insta360 Link Controller, will it default to the last audio mode?

• In the 4K high-resolution mode (non-portrait), the camera will default to the last set audio mode even if the client is not opened.
• In the 4K high-resolution portrait mode, only Music Balance is supported. Voice Focus and Voice Suppression are not available in this case.

4. Can I use the microphone separately without using the Link series camera?

Yes, the microphone can be used independently. For example, in a Microsoft Teams meeting, you can turn off the camera and use only the Link series microphone for audio input.

5. Can the Link series cameras be used as an intercom?
