AI Tracking
Q1. What is AI Tracking?
AI Tracking can lock onto a person or group of people appearing in-frame, supporting both Single Tracking and Group Tracking. As they move, the gimbal rotates and zooms according to your parameters to track participants to ensure they stay in the frame. You can set the position, tracking speed, and frame size on the Insta360 Link Controller software.
Q2. Do both Insta360 Link 2 and Insta360 Link 2C support AI Tracking?
Only Insta360 Link 2 supports AI Tracking. Insta360 Link 2C's Auto Framing feature offers similar functionality as Group Tracking in Link 2's AI tracking.
Q3. How do I enable AI Tracking?
There are three ways to enable AI Tracking:
- Tap the Touch Key once to start or stop Al Tracking.
- In the Insta360 Link Controller software, click "AI Tracking" on the bottom control bar to enable or disable it. By clicking the "^" icon to the right of "AI Tracking", you can also select "Single Tracking" or "Group Tracking" from the menu. Once selected, subsequent activations will default to your chosen mode.
- Gesture Control — With your face fully visible in the frame, use a palm gesture (as shown below). The Indicator Light will flash green once the gesture has been successfully recognized, and the webcam will enter AI Tracking mode.
Notes:
- By default, AI Tracking will be activated in Single Tracking mode.
- For Gesture Control, make sure the gesture does not cover your face.
