Method 1: If there's a new firmware version available and you've installed and opened the Link Controller software, you'll be prompted to update as soon as connecting to Insta360 Link. You can go to the More Settings page and follow the onscreen instructions to finish the firmware update. Method 2: 1）Use the Type-C USB cable that comes with the box to connect Insta360 Link to your computer. 2) TTap the Touch Key three times and check that the indicator light flashes white. Then, press and hold the Touch Key for 5 seconds, and the indicator light will turn blue. The indicator light will stay blue for 2 seconds, then it will turn white, indicating that Insta360 Link has entered update mode. You will be able to see a device named "INSTA360" in "My Computer". Note: When the white light flashes, you need to press and hold the Touch Key immediately. If the indicator light turns green after 5 seconds, the upgrade will exit and you need to repeat step 2.
3) Download the firmware update file [here](https://www.insta360.com/download/insta360-link) from Insta360's official website. Copy the file to the Insta360 Link hard drive named "INSTA360". 4) Tap the Touch Key three times and check that the white light flashes. Then, press and hold the Touch Key for 5 seconds, and the indicator light will turn blue. The device will restart and the blue light will flash slowly, indicating that the firmware is upgrading. 5) After successfully updating, Insta360 Link will return to its standard mode with the blue light illuminated. ⚠️Important ⚠️ Do not disconnect the USB connection during the firmware update.Double tap the Touch Key to reset Link to its initial state, as when just switched on. Insta360 Link will automatically switch off when it is disconnected from the USB power source. Unplug Link and plug in again to restart. You can perform a factory reset in the desktop Link Controller to return Link to its initial factory settings.
In Whiteboard Mode, Link allows the whiteboard to be keystone corrected, enhanced and zoomed for a clearer viewing experience. To activate Whiteboard Mode, stick the Recognition Markers included with the camera to each corner of your whiteboard. This mode can be activated via gestures and in the desktop Link Controller.
Insta360 Link’s AI Tracking detects the presence of people and tracks them as they move to keep them in the frame. The position, tracking speed and frame size can be set via gestures and in the desktop Link Controller.
Insta360 Link can be used without Link Controller desktop software. However, it’s recommended to use Link Controller as it allows you to control a range of advanced settings such as image settings, mode switching, and more.
Insta360 Link does not have a battery and so it cannot power itself.
You can adjust video settings such as white balance and brightness in the Link Controller desktop software.
