How to deal with subscription issues

Scenario 1: Duplicate subscriptions

If you subscribe to the service multiple times across different platforms, benefits and storage space will not be combined. Final benefits will be provided based on the "subscription created earlier".

Example: If you first purchase the 500GB annual plan through Google Play and then take out the 1TB monthly plan through Apple Store, both charges will apply. However, the Insta360 app will only show the benefits of the 500GB annual plan and will not include the additional 1.5TB of storage.

Recommendation: Choose only one platform for subscription and cancel other duplicate subscriptions to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Please note: Duplicate subscriptions will not occur if you subscribe via the Insta360 app. This issue may only happen in extremely rare cases when you subscribe directly through the Apple Store.

Scenario 2: Switching subscription platforms (from Apple Store to Google Play)

Direct switching between subscription platforms is not currently supported. You must cancel the existing subscription on the current platform first, then re-subscribe on the target platform (e.g., Google Play).

FAQ

1. Which cameras are currently compatible with Insta360+ Cloud Service?

Insta360+ Cloud Service is currently compatible with the following cameras: X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, X5, and Ace Pro 2.

Please note: Please make sure your camera is updated to the latest firmware version. We also recommend updating the Insta360 app to the latest version for a stable cloud service experience.

For Ace Pro 2, the following version requirements must also be met to use the cloud service:

  • Insta360 app: v2.16.0 or later.
  • Insta360 Studio: v5.8.4 or later.
  • Camera firmware: v2.0.17 or later.

2. If I entered the wrong email when purchasing the Insta360+ Cloud Service, can I transfer the benefits to a new account?

Currently, transferring benefits to a new account is not supported. If you need to change account information, you can first apply for a refund, then repurchase using the correct email.

3. After subscribing to the cloud service in the Chinese Mainland, can I continue using it overseas?

Yes, you can.

Please note: If you selected a nearby data storage location during subscription, the speed of browsing, uploading, and downloading media may decrease when traveling to other regions (the farther from the data storage location, the longer the data access time).

4. I have subscribed to the Insta360+ Cloud Service, but why do I see an invitation to subscribe instead of my storage space when logging into the Insta360 app / Insta360 Studio? Why can't I view uploaded media after subscribing?

First, check if the account used to log into the Insta360 app / Insta360 Studio is the same as the one used to purchase the Insta360+ Cloud Service, as benefits are bound to the account used for purchase by default.

If you are unsure about the subscription account, check it by following these steps: Power on the camera > swipe down from the top of the screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > swipe the screen to the right > tap "Sync settings" > tap the "Personal Center" icon in the top right corner to view the account bound to the camera.

5. After purchasing the Insta360+ Cloud Service, do I need to log into the Insta360 app with the same account used for purchase?

You must log into the Insta360 app with the account used to purchase the Insta360+ Cloud Service to bind the cloud service to the camera and use it normally.

6. Can I use the cloud service or participate in related activities in countries/regions where purchasing the Insta360+ Cloud Service is not supported?

If the purchase of Insta360+ Cloud Service is not supported in your country/region, you will be unable to use this service (including media uploads) or participate in related activities.

7. If I subscribe to the Insta360+ Cloud Service via the Insta360 app, will my subscription be visible and queryable on the Insta360 Website or Insta360 Studio?

As long as the account used to subscribe to the Insta360+ Cloud Service via the Insta360 app is the same as the login account for the Insta360 Website and Insta360 Studio, the corresponding cloud service benefits can be queried.

8. I’ve subscribed to the Classic Plan. Why can’t I view 360 photos or videos from my 360 camera?

With the Classic Plan, you cannot view media from 360 cameras. You may upgrade to the Premium Plan, which allows you to view media shot with both 360 cameras and Ace Pro 2.

9. Is the 2TB plan expandable?

The maximum cloud storage currently available is 2TB, and further expansion is not supported at this time. We will continue to optimize our products to deliver a better experience. Thank you for your understanding and support!
