Insta360+: How to Change Cloud Service Plans

Applicable Models: X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, X5, and Ace Pro 2

Insta360+ Cloud Service Plans support flexible upgrades, downgrades and cancellations. Subscription rules vary by platform. After upgrades, cancellation or downgrade, benefits will be adjusted as per the rules. Please refer to the corresponding operation process based on your device platform.

How to upgrade a plan?

Upgrade your plan via the Insta360 app (available in the Chinese Mainland & overseas regions)

Open the Insta360 app > log in to your cloud service account with the purchased plan > tap "Me" > select "My Cloud and Devices"> tap "Subscribe" > choose your desired new plan and confirm the subscription.

Please log in to your cloud service account, go to the Insta360+ plan page, and click the “UPGRADE” button.

Subscription upgrade rules

iOS users
  • Plan type upgrade (e.g., from Classic to Premium) & plan tier upgrade (e.g., from the basic plan to an advanced plan):
    • The unused portion of your old subscription will be converted to a pro-rated credit and refunded immediately to your original payment method.
    • The new subscription takes effect immediately and will be charged at the price of the new plan.
    • The renewal date will be updated to the date of this upgrade.

  • Upgrade of subscription duration for the same tier plan (e.g., from a basic monthly plan to a basic annual plan):
    • The unused days of your old subscription remain valid within the original subscription period.
    • The new subscription takes effect in the next billing cycle and will be charged at the new plan price.

Android users
  • Chinese Mainland: All upgrade types are supported (plan type upgrade, tier upgrade, subscription duration extension) under a unified set of rules.
    • The prorated amount for the unused days of your original subscription will be immediately refunded to your original payment method.
    • The new subscription takes effect immediately and is charged at the price of the new plan.
    • The renewal date is updated to the date of this upgrade.
  • Overseas regions (paid via Google Play): Applies to plan tier upgrades and subscription duration extensions, with unified rules.
    • No refund will be issued for the unused days of the original subscription. The unused period will be converted into additional subscription duration based on the new plan price and added after the new subscription expires.
    • The new subscription takes effect immediately and is charged at the new plan price.
    • The renewal date is updated to the date of this upgrade.

How to cancel a subscription / downgrade a plan?

Direct downgrade or cancellation of any plan is not available within the Insta360 app. You must first cancel the current subscription, then re-subscribe to another plan.

Log into the Insta360 Website, go to the Insta360+ page, and tap the Cancel Subscription button at the bottom.

  • Apple devices
    1. Open your phone's "Settings" > tap your "Apple ID profile" at the top > select "Subscriptions".
    2. Find "Insta360" > tap "Cancel Subscription" and confirm.
  • Android devices
    1. Open the Google Play Store.
    2. Navigate to Subscriptions: Tap the ☰ icon (Menu) (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner > select Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
    3. Select the Subscription to Cancel: Under the Active tab, find the Insta360+ subscription > tap on the subscription to open its details.
    4. Cancel the Subscription: Tap Cancel subscription > choose a reason (optional) > confirm cancellation.

Function after subscription cancellation / plan upgrade/downgrade

Cloud storage capacity is based on your current subscribed plan.

After canceling a subscription
  • A 60-day "data grace period" applies after the subscription expires: You can view media, but cannot upload, share, or export media from the cloud.
  • 60 days after subscription expiration: Media will be cleared. Reminders will be sent via in-app pop-ups or emails during the period.
After downgrading a subscription
  • Upon the expiration of the cloud service, if your media size exceeds the new plan's capacity after downgrade is made: Media will not be deleted as long as your subscription remains active, but you cannot upload new media.
