Q1 Is the GPS Preview Remote waterproof?

The GPS Preview Remote is IP68 water resistant in water up to 4.9ft (1.5m) for 30 minutes.
However, this product is not designed for underwater use like swimming or diving.
Insta360 is not responsible for any damage resulting from underwater use, and the warranty will not be valid.

Note: Wipe the product dry as soon as possible after contact with water, especially seawater. Dry it with a soft cloth, paying attention to the charging port. Ensure it is completely dry before using it again.

Q2 Why are GPS signals missing or inaccurate when I use the GPS Preview Remote on/in the water?

GPS signals are transmitted through radio waves, which cannot effectively penetrate water.
This is because water molecules have a high absorption rate and strong polarity, causing electromagnetic waves to be absorbed or scattered.
As a result, GPS signals may weaken or be unavailable in and around water.
