Battery
Q1 What is the battery capacity and runtime of the GPS Preview Remote?
The GPS Preview Remote has a 950mAh battery. The run time varies depending on how the remote is used:
- When in standby mode, i.e., not in use and the screen off, the run time is around 60 hours.
- When the display is on, the remote is connected to a camera, and the "raise your wrist to turn on the screen" feature is disabled, the remote's run time in standby mode is around 6 hours.
- When the display is off, the remote is connected to a camera, and the "raise your wrist to turn on the screen" feature is disabled, the remote's run time on standby is around 14 hours.
(Measured in a lab environment. Battery life may vary under different conditions.)
Q2 How long does it take to charge the GPS Preview Remote fully?
It will take around 90 minutes to fully charge the GPS Preview Remote with a 5V/1.5A adapter.
Q3 Does the GPS Preview Remote support PD Fast Charging?
No, it does not support PD Fast Charging.
Q4 What's the standard run time of the GPS Preview Remote on standby, and how can I make it longer?
Under regular conditions, the GPS Preview Remote can last about 60 hours on standby when the screen is off and is not connected to a device or using any features.
If standby mode is consuming power quickly, try disabling the "raise your wrist to turn on the screen" option in the "Settings" > "Display" and reduce the screen brightness.
Please also note that in low-temperature environments (below 32°F/0°C), the battery life may be affected.
Q5 What is the standard run time of the GPS Preview Remote when controlling the camera and recording a video?
- When the display is on, the remote is connected to a camera, and the "raise your wrist to turn on the screen" feature is disabled, the remote's run time in standby mode is around 6 hours.
- When the display is off, the remote is connected to a camera, and the "raise your wrist to turn on the screen" feature is disabled, the remote's run time on standby is around 14 hours.
- If the remote consumes power quickly when the camera is connected, turn on the "Auto Sleep During Recording" feature in the remote's "Settings" > "Display" and set the Auto Sleep timer.
- When the camera is connected, the battery level on the preview interface represents the camera's battery, not the remote's.
- Tap the battery icon to change to the remote's battery level.

Q6 When I charge the GPS Preview Remote, it does not charge, or the charging is sporadic.
The charging temperature of the GPS Preview Remote is 32°F–104°F (0°C–40°C).
If you're experiencing sporadic charging, it's likely due to excessive heat.
If the remote's temperature surpasses 104°F (40℃), it triggers the overheating protection feature, stopping the charging process.
Charging automatically resumes once the temperature cools down to 104°F (40℃).
To avoid this, let the remote cool down before charging, or avoid charging in hot environments.
Q7 How can I check the battery level of my GPS Preview Remote and camera?
When the camera is not connected, you can see the remote's battery level at the upper right corner of the screen.
When the camera is connected, the battery level on the preview interface represents the camera's battery, not the remote's.
Tap the battery icon to view the remote's battery level.
