When you need to record for extended periods and worry about running out of battery, we recommend enabling "Endurance Mode". This mode optimizes system settings to extend battery life.

Instructions

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap the "Endurance Mode" icon to enable the feature.

Please note: Endurance Mode is only supported when the camera is set to Video mode with resolutions/frame rates of 4K@30fps or lower. Some features will be unavailable, including Zoom, Voice Control, and AI Highlights Assistant.

1. How long can the camera operate on a single charge in Endurance Mode?

GO Ultra: 70 minutes

GO Ultra + Action Pod: 200 minutes

*The above data is based on testing in a laboratory environment at 77°F (25°C) with Wi-Fi disabled, screen off, Endurance Mode enabled, and recording in "Video Mode" at 1080P@24fps. Actual battery life may vary under different conditions.

2. Which features become unavailable when Endurance Mode is enabled?

Voice Control, Gesture Control, AI Highlights Assistant, Face Priority, 45°/360° Horizon Lock, Timed Capture, Auto Dash, and Zoom.

3. Which parameter settings are supported in Endurance Mode?

Mode/specification: Video (4K@30/25/24fps and 1080P@30/25/24fps)

Aspect Ratio: 16:9 by default

Active HDR: "Off" by default, but can be manually enabled

FOV: MegaView, UltraWide, Dewarp and Linear

Video encoding: H.264 by default

4. What are the default settings of power-off and screen-off timers in Endurance Mode?

Screen-off: 30 seconds of inactivity

Power-off: 1 minute of inactivity

Please note: When Endurance Mode is disabled, the camera's screen-off and power-off timers follow the user's in-camera settings.

5. Can Endurance Mode be enabled when the camera is connected to the Insta360 app?

No, the icon will be grayed out in this case.

6. Will the camera continue Timed Capture recording tasks after the Endurance Mode is enabled?

The camera will cancel Timed Capture recording tasks.
