The Gesture Control feature allows you to control the camera using hand gestures, making shooting more effortless and intuitive.

Instructions

  1. Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu.
  2. Tap "Gesture Control" (Hand icon ✋) to enable the feature.
  3. Supported gestures:
    • ✋ Palm gesture: Start/stop recording video.
    • ✌ Peace sign: Start a 3-second countdown to take a photo.

Please note: After enabling the feature, please perform gestures within the effective distance of 0.4 to 1.2 meters in front of the camera to control shooting.

1. Which shooting modes support Gesture Control?

GO Ultra: All modes except PureVideo, Toddler Titan and Starlapse modes.

GO 3S: Video, FreeFrame Video, Photo, and Loop Recording modes.

2. Can gestures be recognized when wearing gloves or a helmet?

GO Ultra: Gesture Control is supported while wearing gloves.

GO 3S: Due to the camera's compact size, recognition accuracy may be reduced when wearing a helmet or gloves. We recommend using Gesture Control with unobstructed face and hands.

3. How does the camera recognize gestures when multiple people make control gestures simultaneously?

The camera prioritizes gestures from the person whose head fills the largest area in the frame.

4. How long do I need to hold a gesture for it to be recognized?

We recommend holding the gesture command for at least 3 seconds to ensure successful recognition by the camera.

5. Can this feature be used underwater?

Gesture Control works underwater, but the success rate may be affected by complex underwater light and environmental conditions.
