Applicable Models: GO Ultra

GO Ultra supports the Auto PureVideo feature. In low-light environments such as nights or dim spaces, it can intelligently detect ambient light, optimize video quality, and automatically switch to the best shooting mode.

Instructions

After enabling this function, the camera will automatically determine whether to use PureVideo mode or Video mode based on the current ambient light:

  • Dim environment: Automatically switches to PureVideo mode to enhance picture brightness and clarity.
  • Bright environment: Automatically uses standard Video mode to ensure shooting efficiency.

Please note:

  • Available only at 16:9, 4K@30fps or lower. 2× Clarity Zoom, Horizon Lock, and ActionView are disabled while Auto PureVideo is enabled.
  • When shooting with the camera alone, as long as the "Auto PureVideo" feature is turned on, the camera will also switch automatically between "Video" and "PureVideo" modes — no additional operation on the Action Pod screen is required.
  • After updating the firmware to v1.0.16, this feature is enabled by default. You can turn it off manually as required.

FAQ

Why can I start recording with gesture control after enabling Auto PureVideo, but cannot end it?

This happens because the camera automatically switches to "PureVideo" for shooting in low-light environments. To optimize video quality, gesture control is temporarily disabled in this mode, so you cannot end recording with gestures.
