FAQ

1. Will the quality of the footage be affected when the AI Highlights Assistant is turned on?

No. The video output by the Highlights Assistant is identical in quality to the original video.

2. What does the AI Highlights Assistant do?

The camera automatically identifies the best moments from a single video. When you connect it to your phone, the Insta360 app instantly shows you the highlights to review in "Album" > "Memories" and cuts the time required for clip creation.

3. Can several highlight clips be saved as one new file?

Yes, they can be saved as a new file in Video and Loop Recording modes. In the album, select the clips, tap "Save as" in the upper right corner, then choose "Separate clips" or "Merge clips".

4. Can highlight clips recorded in the FreeFrame Video mode be saved individually on the camera?

No. They must be exported for stabilization via the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.

5. Is there a fixed length for the clips flagged by the AI Highlights Assistant?

The AI intelligent algorithm will automatically adjust each clip’s length according to the content and excitement level, so lengths may vary.

Manually flagged highlights, however, have a fixed length:

  • Single tap (less than 2s): 1s before + 1s after the tap.
  • Long press (not less than 2s): clip equals the pressed duration (minimum 2s).
