Firmware Update
Firmware updates will be regularly available for GO Ultra to ensure it runs efficiently. Check for updates regularly and use the latest version for optimal results. Before updating, ensure the camera has at least 20% battery remaining.
Update via the Insta360 app:
Connect GO Ultra to the Insta360 app. A prompt will appear if a new firmware update is available. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.
If the firmware update fails, check the following and try the update again:
- Ensure GO Ultra is close to the smartphone.
- Keep the Insta360 app open during the update process.
- Ensure the phone has a strong and stable network connection.
Update via computer:
- Make sure GO Ultra is powered on.
- Connect the camera to the computer using the USB -C cable and select USB Mode.
- Download the latest firmware version from the official Insta360 website.
- Once the computer has recognized GO Ultra, copy the "Insta360GO3SFW.pkg" file to the camera's root directory.
Note:
- Do not change the file name.
- Disconnect the camera from the computer. The camera will automatically power off.
- Turn the camera on and wait a few moments for the firmware update to start. While the firmware is being updated, the indicator lights will slowly pulse blue.
