Action Pod Buttons

Power Button

Camera Status	Operation	Descriptions
Powered off	Press once	● Turn the camera on. When you turn the camera on for the first time, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds; after activation, you can power it on with a single press.
Powered on	Press once	● Touchscreen: - When the touchscreen is on: turn off the screen and lock it. - When the touchscreen is off: turn on the screen and unlock it.
Powered on	Long press	● 2 seconds: Turn the camera off. ● 7 seconds: Force shutdown.

Q Button

Camera Status	Operation	Descriptions
Powered on	Press once	Quickly access preset shooting modes and options. Press again to switch between different presets. On the first use, the button will open the Shooting Mode page. Tap the icon in the upper-left corner to open the Presets page, or customize them in the Quick Button section of the Settings Page.

Shutter Button

Camera Status	Operation	Description
Powered off	Press once	● Start shooting with QuickCapture. - Press once: Start recording video. - Double-press: Start taking photos. * Must be enabled on the camera first.
Powered on	Press once	● On the Preview Page: - Tap to start taking photos/recording videos. - When recording videos, tap again to stop. ● On other interfaces: Tap to return to the Preview Page and start shooting in the selected mode. - When connecting to the app for the first time, the shutter button on either the Standalone Camera or the Action Pod can confirm the authorization. - When recording, tap the red button on the screen to pause. Tap the flashing red dot on the touchscreen or the shutter button to continue recording.
Powered on	Long press	Quickly cancel and delete recording. "Long press Shutter Button to cancel recording" must be enabled in the Settings first.

Standalone Camera Button

Control the Standalone Camera separately from the Action Pod.

Camera Status	Operation	Description
Powered off	Long press	● 2 seconds: Turn the camera on.
Powered off	Press once/double click	● Start QuickCapture. - Short press: start recording. - Double-press: start recording in FreeFrame. * Must be enabled on the Action Pod first.
Powered on	Press once	- Start taking photos/recording videos. In video recording mode, tap again to stop recording. - When the Insta360 app is connected to the GO Ultra Standalone Camera for the first time, press the shutter button on either the Action Pod or the Standalone Camera to confirm the connection.
	Double Press	● Start taking photos. * You can customize the double-press button effect in the Settings page. This will take effect when the device is powered on and not connected to the Action Pod.
	Long press	- 2 seconds: Turn the camera off. - 7 seconds: Force shutdown.

GO Ultra Button Customization

You can customize GO Ultra's button on the Action Pod or the settings page of the Insta360 app.

Camera Settings

Turn GO Ultra on and enter the Shortcut menu.
Select Standalone Camera Button Settings in Settings to customize the shutter button on the GO Ultra Standalone Camera.

If you change the settings on the Action Pod while the Standalone Camera is separate, the shooting parameters will only change upon connection.

insta360

App Settings

Connect GO Ultra to the Insta360 app.
Go to Button Settings on the Settings page to customize the GO Ultra button shooting function when the camera is turned on or off.
