GO Series: Button Instructions

Applicable Models: GO 3, GO 3S, and GO Ultra

Mastering the core button operations allows you to freely control the camera and switch shooting modes in different device statuses. Below we have sorted out the detailed functions of each button to help you quickly get familiar with device operation and enjoy shooting.

Powered off	Short press to power on. First power-on: Press and hold for two seconds to power on. For subsequent use: Short press the power button to power on.
Powered on	Short press when the touch screen is on: Turn off and lock the screen. Short press when the touch screen is off: Turn on and unlock the screen.
Powered on	Press and hold for two seconds: Power off. Press and hold for seven seconds: Force restart the camera.

Short press to open the preset or mode switching page by default. Press again to cycle through the options.

*The Q button supports customization. You can assign other functions to it in the settings, including: switching presets, taking photos / recording videos, starting/stopping pre-recording, flagging during recording, entering/exiting the album, and opening the settings page.

Shutter Button

Camera Status	Operation & Function
Powered off	If "QuickCapture" is enabled in the camera menu, you can customize the functions of short-pressing and double-pressing the shutter button to start quick shooting.
Powered on	On the preview page: Short press to start photo capture or video recording in the current mode. In the Video Mode, short press again to stop recording. On other pages: Short press to return to the preview page and start shooting in the currently selected mode. When connecting the camera to the Insta360 app for the first time: Short-press the shutter button on the Action Pod or the camera button to confirm the connection. *During recording, tap the red pause button on the screen to pause recording. Tap the pause button or press the shutter button to resume. Tap the stop button in the bottom right corner to end recording.
Powered on	Enable "Long press Shutter Button to cancel recording" in the camera settings. When enabled, long press to quickly cancel the current shooting without saving it.

Release Switch

Press and hold the Release Switch on the side of the Action Pod to release the latch and remove the camera from the Action Pod.

When using GO Ultra as a standalone camera:

Powered off	If "QuickCapture" is enabled in the camera menu, you can customize the functions of short-pressing and double-pressing the shutter button to start quick shooting.
Powered off	Press and hold for two seconds: Power on.
Powered on (Action Pod connected)	Short press to start photo capture or video recording in the current mode. In the Video Mode, short press again to stop recording.
Powered on (Action Pod connected)	Press and hold for two seconds: Power off. Press and hold for seven seconds: Force shutdown.
Powered on (Action Pod disconnected)	Start video recording by default. When connecting GO Ultra to the Insta360 app for the first time, short press the shutter button on the Action Pod or the button on GO Ultra to confirm the connection. *The function corresponding to short-press can be customized in the settings page.
	Start photo capture by default. *The function corresponding to double-press can be customized in the settings page.
	Press and hold for two seconds: Power off. Press and hold for seven seconds: Force shutdown.
