Heat

Q1 Is it normal for GO 3S to heat up while recording?

With its small size and strong performance chip, GO 3S consumes a lot of power during recording. The small size also means there is a relatively small heat dissipation area. It is normal for the device to heat up after recording for a significant time.
In addition, using GO 3S in high-temperature, humid, or enclosed environments will cause the camera to overheat faster. Using it in a well-ventilated environment and avoiding direct sunlight can slow down overheating.

Note: Insta360 cameras have a built-in overheating protection system. When the temperature gets too high, there will be an overheating alert and the camera will automatically stop recording. If the camera gets too hot, you can put it aside for a few minutes to cool down and then start recording again.

Q2 At what temperature will there be an overheating prompt?

The heat threshold for GO 3S is 68℃ (154.4°F). When the operating temperature reaches 68℃ (154.4°F), overheating protection will be triggered and recording will be paused.
