FOV/Stabilization/Gyro

Q1 Which FOVs are available in Video mode?

MegaView: Suitable for wide-shooting and urban scenes. Vertical distortion is reduced in 16:9/4:3 ratios.
Action View: Ideal for skiing, cycling, and other sports shooting from a first-person perspective.
UltraWide: Suitable for scenes requiring a wider view like mountaineering, hiking, and other outdoor sports.
Dewarp: A wide FOV with only minor distortion, suitable for scenarios like skiing, vlogging, etc.
NarrowView: A narrow FOV with no picture distortion.

Q2 Which FOVs are available in FreeFrame Video mode?

MegaView, NarrowView, UltraWide, Dewarp, 45° Horizon Lock, 360° Horizon Lock
Note: Footage shot in FreeFrame Video mode must be exported via the Insta360 app or Studio to apply these effects.

Q3 How is the built-in stabilization?

GO 3S offers four levels of stabilization:
Off: Stabilization is turned off.
Standard: For daily use. Expect a short preview delay when enabled.
High: For intense activities like running. Expect a moderate preview delay when enabled.
Max: For extreme sports like mountain biking. Expect a longer preview delay when enabled.

Q4 How can I perform gyro calibration?

Remove the GO 3S camera from the Action Pod and place it on a flat surface with the lens facing upwards. Swipe down on the touchscreen, and go to "Settings" > "Gyro Calibration".

Q5 Why do I need to do gyro calibration?

If the gyroscope is not calibrated, GO 3S's stabilization and horizon leveling may not function properly. We recommend performing gyro calibration to avoid such problems.
