Video, FreeFrame Video, Timelapse, TimeShift, Slow Motion, Pre-Recording, and Loop Recording.
Video mode files are saved as VIDxxx.mp4 and can be viewed directly on any media player. Videos shot in Video mode apply in-camera FlowState stabilization during filming. FreeFrame Video files are saved as PROxxx.mp4 and need to be exported through the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio to apply FlowState Stabilization.
The video resolution varies depending on the mode:

This applies to footage shot in FreeFrame Video, Pre-Recording, Timelapse, TimeShift, and Slow Motion modes.
The maximum video recording length depends on the mode, settings, and model of your GO 3. You can view the estimated total recording time on the screen's top-left corner at any time. For example, the 64GB model can record roughly 2 hours and 50 minutes in Video mode at 1440P/30fps in 16:9 resolution. Recording time may increase if the subject is not well-lit, as it reduces the bitrate and uses less storage.
If you are viewing GO 3 videos on your computer and they are in a circular/spherical format, it means the videos were recorded in FreeFrame Video mode. In this case, please click here to install Insta360 Studio and process your FreeFrame Video files via Insta360 Studio on your computer. Recording a circular/spherical file offers some benefits over a standard video file. Benefits of recording in FreeFrame Video mode include:
If you prefer to use the standard (non-circular) video file, please record in Video mode.
