Heat

Q1 Is it normal for GO 3 to heat up after recording for a while?

With its small size and strong performance chip, GO 3 consumes a lot of power during recording. The small size also means there is a relatively small heat dissipation area. It is normal for the device to heat up after recording for a long time.

In addition, using GO 3 in high temperature, humid, or enclosed environments will cause the camera to overheat faster. Using it in a well-ventilated environment and avoiding direct sunlight can slow down overheating as well.
Note: Insta360 cameras have a built-in overheating protection system. When the temperature of the camera gets too high, there will be an overheating alert and the camera will automatically stop recording. If the camera is too hot, you can put it aside for a few minutes to cool down and then start recording again.

Q2 What is the heat threshold for GO 3? At what temperature will it report an overheating error?

The heat threshold for GO 3 is 67℃ (152.6°F). When the operating temperature reaches 67℃ (152.6°F), the overheating protection will be triggered and recording will be paused.
