The Live Mode allows you to automatically track people by tapping the trigger button in various third-party app usage scenarios, keeping the shooting subject always in the center of the frame.

Instructions

1. Switch modes: Open the Insta360 app and navigate to the shooting page. Slide the shooting mode options at the bottom and switch to "Live Mode".
2. ​Permission settings: Tap to enable the "Live Mode" and grant the required permissions such as screen recording according to the prompts.
3. ​Background operation: Switch the Insta360 app to background operation and open a third-party app (such as a live-streaming software or a video-calling software).
4. Start tracking: In the usage scenario of the third-party app, tap the trigger button of the gimbal to start tracking.

Please note: Currently, the Live Mode only supports tracking people and does not support tracking objects.

1. Which software supports Live Mode?​

2. Does Live Mode support live-streaming tracking?

Yes. However, because of manufacturer restrictions, the feature is unavailable on certain Android phones—e.g., Xiaomi models running MIUI 14.

3. ​Why can't iOS users receive notifications from other apps when live-streaming after enabling Live Mode?

​The iOS system automatically hides other informational notifications during live-streaming for privacy reasons.

4. Does Live Mode support live-streaming using the RTMP protocol?

No.
