Applicable Models: Flow, Flow Pro, Flow 2, and Flow 2 Pro
This article addresses common questions about file storage when shooting with the gimbal, helping you better manage your phone's storage space.
FAQ
1. Where are photos and videos shot with the gimbal (connected to the Insta360 app) saved?
The photos and videos shot via the gimbal are saved simultaneously to your phone's system album and the Insta360 app's album for easy viewing and management anytime.
2. What are the file formats of the photos and videos shot with the gimbal via the Insta360 app?
- Photos: JPG
- Videos: MP4, MOV
3. Since the photos and videos shot with gimbal are visible in both the phone's local album and the Insta360 app's album, do they take up duplicate storage space?
No. The same file is displayed in both the phone's local album and the Insta360 app's album, so it does not occupy duplicate storage. Deleting the file from either side will sync the deletion to the other.
4. Does the gimbal support changing the file storage path/phone storage location?
No.
5. Do photos and videos shot with the gimbal support storage on an SD card?
Android devices do not currently support changing the storage location, but you can batch move files to a new storage location.
