1. What is Active Zoom Tracking?

Active Zoom Tracking is a more precise tracking feature that allows for accurate tracking of distant and fast-moving subjects, even at high zoom levels, keeping the subject centered in the frame.

2. Does Active Zoom Tracking have compatibility requirements?

Active Zoom Tracking is available for Pro & Pro Max models of iPhone 11-16, and iPhone XS/XS Max with iOS 13 or above.

3. What is the zoom level range of Active Zoom Tracking?

  • After activating Active Zoom Tracking, the Insta360 app will default to 5X zoom, which can be adjusted according to your shooting needs.
  • Active Zoom Tracking can be adjusted from 1-15X, depending on the phone camera. The maximum zoom level is based on the zoom level supported by your iPhone. For example, it offers up to 15X zoom when utilizing the 5X telephoto lens on iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
  • If the zoom level is below 1X, Active Zoom Tracking will automatically turn off.

4. What should I do if the subject moves closer and the camera can't fully capture them when using Active Zoom Tracking?

With Active Zoom Tracking enabled, you can activate Auto Zoom. The Insta360 app will adjust according to the distance range of the tracking subject. You can also manually adjust the zoom level as needed.

5. Can Pro Framing Grid and Active Zoom Tracking be enabled at the same time?
