First Use

Charging

Before starting, you can use the 5V/2A power adapter and charging cable to charge Flow. At room temperature, charge it for 2 hours to fully charge the Flow. Flow has a maximum battery life of up to 16 hours.

Install Your Phone and Unfold

1. Clip your phone into the magnetic phone clamp and make sure the phone clamp is in the middle of the phone. The magnetic phone clamp can be stretched to both sides. Note that the camera logo on the side of the magnetic phone clamp and the phone lens should be aligned upwards.
   

2. Align the magnetic phone clamp with the magnetic surface on the gimbal, and then attach the phone clamp to the gimbal.
   

3. Follow the steps below to unfold Flow, and Flow will automatically power on. When the gimbal mode indicators light up, the phone is stabilized.
   

4. Flow has a built-in tripod and a built-in selfie stick. The selfie stick can be stretched up to 215 mm and its angle can be manually adjusted. The angle adjustment range is 0-90°. The tripod legs can be unfolded from the bottom and the tripod should be used on flat surfaces only.

Note:

• When pulling out the tripod, it is recommended to pull out all legs together, not individually.
• When storing the tripod, the process is opposite to that of unfolding. The tripod needs to be folded first, and then stored together upwards into the handle.
  

Automatic sleep: Every time Flow is turned on, it will detect whether a mobile phone is installed within 30 seconds. If it detects no load, it will automatically sleep; during use, if no load is detected, it will sleep immediately.

Activation

1. Click here to download the Insta360 app. Alternatively, search "Insta360" in the App Store or Google Play Store to download the Insta360 app.
2. Open the Insta360 app, then tap the yellow camera icon at the bottom of the page. Select the device you want to connect to in the pop-up window, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection. The name of your Flow is "Flow ****** " by default, where ****** is the last six digits of the serial number on the box your Flow came in.
   
3. After a successful connection, the app will prompt you to update the firmware if there is a new version available. Please follow the on-screen prompts to update the firmware. After updating, follow the app prompts to activate your Flow.
4. After activation, more functions can be used through the Insta360 app, such as Deep Track, Panorama, Timelapse, etc.

Note: If the connection fails, you can press and hold the trigger button and the shutter button for 3 seconds to reset the Bluetooth, and then reconnect.
