Flow Series: Gyroscope Calibration

Applicable Models: Flow, Flow Pro, Flow 2, and Flow 2 Pro

Gyroscope calibration enables the gimbal to perceive its own attitude more accurately, serving as the foundation for maintaining image stability and ensuring the normal operation of the tracking feature. It is recommended to perform calibration when using the device for the first time, after severe vibration, or when you notice the gimbal is tilted, which helps you achieve optimal shooting results.

Instructions

1. Connect to the Insta360 app

Pair the gimbal with your phone via Bluetooth, then open the Insta360 app and navigate to the shooting interface.

2. Locate calibration entry

a. On the shooting interface: If your phone is in the landscape mode, tap the gimbal icon at the bottom left. If in portrait mode, tap the gimbal icon at the top left.

b. ​In the pop-up menu, scroll to the bottom and find the "Auto Calibration" option.​

3. Complete calibration:

After tapping "Auto Calibration", follow the on-screen prompts in the Insta360 app step by step to finish the gyroscope calibration. Please keep the gimbal stable and avoid shaking during calibration to ensure accurate results.
