Below is an overview of basic activation operations and FAQ to help you activate and use the gimbal smoothly.

How to activate gimbal for the first time?

1. Download and install the Insta360 app

Download and install the Insta360 app directly, or search for "Insta360" on the App Store or your device's app marketplace to download and install it.

2. Connect device
   1. First, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone.
   2. Open the Insta360 app; the system will automatically pop up a "Find device" notification.
   3. Select the gimbal you want to connect in the pop-up (default name: "Flow*", "Flow Pro*", or "Flow 2 Pro*", where * represents the last six digits of the serial number).
   4. Follow the on-screen prompts in the Insta360 app to complete the pairing and connection.

3. Authorize Internet access

During the first connection, the Insta360 app will request permission to access relevant information. This step requires your phone to be connected to the Internet.

4. Activate and use

After authorization, the gimbal will be activated. Your phone will then enter the camera shooting interface in the Insta360 app, where you can access additional features such as Deep Track 3.0, Pano Photo, and Timelapse.

Please note:

• After the gimbal is successfully connected to the Insta360 app, if a new firmware version is prompted, follow the instructions to complete the firmware update.
• Do not turn off the gimbal or exit the Insta360 app during the firmware update.
• Once the update is finished, follow the on-screen instructions in the Insta360 app to activate the gimbal.
• If the gimbal fails to connect to the Insta360 app, press and hold both the trigger button and shutter button for 3 seconds to reset Bluetooth, then reconnect.

Visit Insta360 Website and enter the gimbal's serial number to query the activation time.

2. How to review the tutorial after skipping it during the first connection?

On the shooting page of the Insta360 app, tap the "⋮" icon in the upper left corner and select "Tutorial" to view it again.
