Troubleshooting
Q1 How can I check the serial number of Flow?
There are three ways to check the serial number of Flow:
- Check the original package: The serial number is written on the box.
- Check the device: The serial number is written on the side of the device.
- You can check the serial number on the Insta360 app after connecting Flow:
- Click the three dots
in the upper left corner of the shooting page and go to "S/N" to check.
- Alternatively, go to Settings > Device Settings > Device Information to check the serial number.
Q2 How can I check Flow's firmware version?
Connect Flow to the Insta360 App.
- Click on the three dots
in the upper left corner of the shooting page and go to "Version" to view the firmware version.
- Alternatively, go to Settings > Device Settings > Firmware Version to check the firmware version on iOS devices; and go to Settings > Device Settings > Device Firmware info to check the firmware version on Android devices.
Q3 What should I do if the firmware update of Flow fails?
- Ensure Flow is powered on and the Insta360 app is open during the update.
- Make sure Flow's battery is at least 20%.
- Restart Flow and reconnect to the app.
If the update still fails, please contact our support team at service@insta360.com.
Q4 What should I do if the joystick stops controlling the direction of the gimbal?
- Please make sure Flow is not in tracking mode. If tracking is enabled, the gimbal will automatically keep the tracked subject in the center of the screen, limiting the rotation of the gimbal.
- Please ensure you are not using the panorama or motion timelapse mode. You cannot use the joystick to control Flow during a panorama or motion timelapse shoot.
- Restart Flow if tracking is not enabled and you are not in panorama or motion timelapse mode. If the joystick still cannot control the direction after restarting, please contact our support team at service@insta360.com.
