Q1. What tracking modes does Insta360 Connect support? What features does each mode offer?

  • Group Framing: The wide-angle lens automatically adjusts the frame according to the number of attendees to ensure everyone is in the shot.
  • Speaker Tracking: Switching between different speakers; focusing on a single speaker with a tracking close-up.
  • Gallery Mode: Each attendee will appear on screen in their own window.
  • Manual Control Mode: The camera field of view can be manually controlled with the zoom-in/zoom-out navigation buttons on the remote control.

Speaker Tracking

Q1. How does speaker tracking work?

Connect is equipped with an internal pan-tilt mechanism that enables real-time tracking of speakers in the room. Regardless of the speaker's location, the camera automatically adjusts its angle to capture the best view.

Q2. How does Insta360 Connect identify speakers?

Connect uses multi-modal speech recognition, facial recognition, and lip movement recognition. For best results, the speaker's face should be unobstructed and directly facing the camera. When the system confirms who is speaking, it will automatically switch to display the speaker in a full-screen close-up.

Q3. How to adjust the tracking speed in Speaker Tracking mode?

You can adjust the "Speaker Detection Speed" in "Camera Settings" to change the tracking speed.

Enable the "Speaker Emphasis" option in "Camera Settings" to display a green frame around the speaker's image in the gallery.
