With the Bike Tail Mount Kit, you can mount your camera to the bike's seat rails or seat post, easily unlocking a third-person cycling perspective. This article provides installation instructions for the Bike Tail Mount Kit, helping you complete the installation successfully and enjoy the fun of shooting while cycling.

How to install the Bike Seat Rail Mount

If you want to mount your camera directly under the seat, follow the steps below:

1. Attach the Seat Rail Mount Clamp Bracket and the Seat Rail Mount Clamp to the bike's seat rails, one on top and one on bottom, correspondingly.
2. Secure the Seat Rail Mount with two 0.63in (16mm) M4 bolts and tighten them using an L-shaped hex wrench.
3. Attach your camera to the Seat Rail Mount using the Thumb Screws.

Please note:

• When using the L-shaped hex wrench, hold its long end to tighten the bolts securely.
• Before securing the camera in place, try moving it to ensure it will not hit the tire, then tighten the screws.
• If you are using Insta360 Ace or Ace Pro, you need to use a Standard Mount and other accessories; if you are using Insta360 GO 3 or GO 3S, you need to use a Vertical & Horizontal Action Mount Set and other accessories.
• To adjust the camera orientation, insert the L-shaped hex wrench into the adjustment hole on the knob.

Notes

• Before use, always check that the camera is securely mounted. To effectively secure the 2-prong to 1/4" Adapter and the camera, apply transparent anti-slip rings to one side of the 2-prong mount during use.
• When using the Seat Rail Mount with an X Series camera, be aware that excessive bump may cause the camera to tilt downward and hit the tire. If you notice any abnormality during cycling, stop and address it promptly.
• When using this accessory with an X Series camera on bumpy roads, it is recommended to use it with a Utility Frame to prevent the camera from hitting the rear wheel, which could affect riding safety and damage the camera.
• When using this accessory with an X Series camera, do not use it with a Vertical-Horizontal Mount, as high-intensity activities may deform the mount.
• The Seat Rail Mount is not suitable for bikes with spring seats.
• It is recommended to keep the cycling speed under 60km/h (37mph) on flat roads and under 40km/h (25mph) on uneven roads.

How to install the Seat Rail Mount and Bike Tail Mount

If you want to use a selfie stick for side-rear tracking shots, follow the steps below:

1. Following the steps above, install and secure the Seat Rail Mount to the bike's seat rails.
2. Choose the appropriate clamp brackets according to the shape of your bike's seat post.
   • Both sides of the clamp brackets can be used; try each side and select the one that best matches the curvature of your seat post.
   • A non-round post usually requires two brackets; a round post requires only one.
3. Select the appropriate bolts, tighten them into the clamp bracket(s), and install the silicone pads to protect the bike's seat post.
4. Attach the Bike Tail Mount Main Clamp to the bike, insert the bolts, and tighten them with an L-shaped hex wrench to secure the clamp.
5. Install the 2-prong to 1/4" Adapter; you can adjust its angle as needed for shooting.

1. Insert your selfie stick into the Support Clamp.
2. Attach the Support Clamp to the Seat Rail Mount.
3. Attach the selfie stick to the Bike Tail Mount.
4. After adjusting the selfie stick to the desired angle, tighten all knobs and screws.

Please note:

• When inserting the Thumb Screws into the 3-prong adapter, do not insert them from the raised side of the 3-prong adapter.

• To adjust the camera orientation, insert the L-shaped hex wrench into the adjustment hole on the knob.

• When shooting with the use of the Bike Tail Mount, always use it together with the Support Clamp; do not use only the Bike Tail Mount to mount the selfie stick and camera.
• When shooting from the side-rear position using the Bike Tail Mount, be mindful of road safety. Do not hit pedestrians or be hit by other vehicles. The side extension should not exceed the width of the bike's handlebars, and the rear extension length must comply with local regulations.
• For cycling safety, the Bike Tail Mount is intended for use only on flat roads with a cycling speed not exceeding 37mph (60km/h). Do not use it on bumpy roads such as mountain roads or muddy roads. Always tighten the Support Clamp before cycling.
• It is recommended to use this accessory with the Insta360 Action Invisible Selfie Stick, 114cm Invisible Selfie Stick, or 85cm Invisible Selfie Stick.
• Please use the accessory strictly according to the operating instructions; do not modify it yourself. Failures or damages resulting from improper use are not covered under Insta360 warranty or replacement services.
• Please be aware of and comply with local road safety laws and regulations. If there are special provisions regarding the use and installation of seat rails or seat post mounts in your area, strictly follow those regulations.
