Bike Computer Mount: Installation Guide and FAQ

This article provides installation instructions on the Bike Computer Mount and some FAQs, helping you complete the installation smoothly and fully enjoy the fun of creating while cycling.
How to install the Bike Computer Mount (Integrated Handlebars)
Installing the computer mount
- Select the appropriate computer mount based on your bike computer model.
- Attach the computer mount to the Bike Computer Mount and tighten the screws with a 2mm L-shaped hex wrench.

Please note:
- The computer mount can be installed in two orientations; you can choose as needed.
- Four computer mounts are included with the Bike Computer Mount, compatible with various bike computers; you can select the one suitable for your bike computer.
Installing the Computer Mount to the handlebar
- Choose M4 or M5 bolts based on the size of the screw holes on the front of your bike.
- Align the Bike Computer Mount with the screw holes on the underside of the handlebar and install it onto the front of the bike.
- Tighten the bolts with a 4mm L-shaped hex wrench. We recommend you tighten the bolts to a torque of 3.7lbf·ft (5N·m), or follow the torque value recommended by your handlebar manufacturer.

Please note:
- The screw hole spacing on the Bike Computer Mount is 0.35in (9mm ) to 2.17in (55mm). You can adjust the position of the mount to the front or rear of the handlebar according to the size of your bike computer.

- Ensure both bolts under the handlebar are tightened to secure the Bike Computer Mount. If your handlebar only has one bolt, or if the screw spacing does not meet the installation requirements for this accessory, please do not use the accessory.
Mounting your camera or accessories
Attach your camera (or flashlight and other accessories) to the mounting point on the Bike Computer Mount. The Computer Mount provides the following two mounting points:

- 1/4" screw mount: It is recommended to use a hex wrench for tightening during installation.
- 3-prong Mount:
- If there is any looseness after mounting your camera or other accessories to the 3-prong Mount, you can attach anti-slip rings to the mount for reinforcement.
- After loosening the screw on the computer mount of the 3-prong Mount, you can adjust its angle.

Please note: When connecting X series cameras (except X3), it is strongly recommended to first secure the camera to the support plate with a strap before attaching it to the Bike Computer Mount. Keep the camera screen facing upward to avoid damage.

Installing your bike computer
Please install your bike computer onto the computer mount as shown in the diagram.

How to install the Bike Computer Mount (Independent Handlebars)
Installing the computer mount
- Select the appropriate computer mount based on your bike computer model.
- Attach the computer mount to the Bike Computer Mount and tighten the screws with a 2mm L-shaped hex wrench.

Installing the Bike Computer Mount to the handlebar
- The Bike Computer Mount can be installed on either the upper or lower side of the front of the bike as needed. Remove the pair of existing bolts from the upper side or lower side of the front of the bike as needed.
- Select long or short bolts based on the depth of the screw holes, and match them with long or short screw posts so that the screw post fully threads into the screw hole. If you are unsure which bolts to use, try the long bolts first. If they do not fit, then use the short bolts. Pay attention to the orientation of the screw posts so that the bolt is inserted from the end with the screw post cap.
- Install the Bike Computer Mount onto the front of your bike and tighten the bolts with a 4mm L-shaped hex wrench. We recommend you tighten the bolts to a torque of 3.7lbf·ft (5N·m), or follow the torque value recommended by your handlebar manufacturer.

Please note:
- The screw hole spacing on the Bike Computer Mount is 0.43in (11mm) to 1.54in (39mm).

- Ensure both bolts are tightened to secure the Bike Computer Mount. If your handlebar only has one bolt, or if the screw spacing does not meet the installation requirements for this accessory, please do not use the accessory.

Notes
- Do not attach a selfie stick to the Bike Computer Mount; the Bike Computer Mount is only intended for mounting cameras directly.
- The maximum load capacity of the Bike Computer Mount is 17.6oz (500g); do not exceed this limit when mounting cameras or accessories.
- Before cycling, check and ensure all screws, bolts, and your camera are tightened to prevent falls.
- It is recommended to use the Bike Computer Mount on flat roads with a cycling speed not exceeding 37mph (60km/h). Use on bumpy roads such as mountain roads is not recommended.
FAQ
1. What is the difference between the Bike Computer Mount (Integrated Handlebars) and the Bike Computer Mount (Independent Handlebars)?
They are designed for bikes with different handlebar types (i.e., integrated handlebars or independent handlebars).

2. How do I distinguish the four different brand-specific computer mounts included with the Bike Computer Mount?
You can identify them by the markings on the mount. Below are the distinguishing marks for the brand-specific computer mounts:
Garmin: "GM" marking on the mount.
Wahoo: "wh" marking on the mount.
Bryton: "b" marking on the mount.
Giant: No marking on the mount.
3. What should I do if the camera is crooked after tightening it?
Adjust your camera to the correct orientation, hold it with one hand, and use an L-shaped hex wrench with the other hand to turn the adjustment knob to tighten it.

4. What are the lengths of the long and short bolts? How do I choose?
The Bike Computer Mount (Independent Handlebars) comes with bolts of two lengths: 1.18in (30mm) and 1.57in (40mm). You can choose the long or short bolts according to the screw holes on your bike. If you cannot determine the depth, for safety, we recommend using the 1.57in (40mm) bolts first for a more secure installation. If these bolts do not fit, try the 1.18in (30mm) bolts.
5. What is the distance from the computer mount to the end of the Bike Computer Mount?
The distances (from the center of the computer mount to the end of the Bike Computer Mount) are as follows:
Bike Computer Mount (Independent Handlebars): Approx. 2.36in (60mm).
Bike Computer Mount (Integrated Handlebars): Approx. 4.82in (122.5mm).
6. What is the width of the Bike Computer Mount (Integrated Handlebars)?
As shown in the diagram, the width is approx. 0.67in (17mm).

7. What are the dimensions of the 3-prong Mount screw on the Bike Computer Mount?
Diameter: 0.20in (5mm ); Length: 0.39in (10mm).

8. What are the dimensions of the computer mount screw on the Bike Computer Mount?
Diameter: 0.12in (3mm ); Length: 0.24in (6mm).
