Insta360 App: No Watermark in Exported Media / Unable to Add Watermarks
Insta360 App: No Watermark in Exported Media / Unable to Add Watermarks
Applicable Models: ONE X, X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, X5, Ace, Ace Pro, Ace Pro 2, GO 3, GO 3S, GO Ultra, ONE R, and ONE RS
Scenario 1: Camera watermarks (including Leica Watermark) cannot be added or do not display
1. Confirm the conditions for enabling watermarks are met
Please confirm that all the following conditions are met:
- The media is not a 360 video or photo
- The media is an original file exported directly from the camera (files exported via Insta360 Studio or the Insta360 app do not support adding watermarks)
- The Insta360 app has been updated to the latest version
2. Enable watermark settings
Method 1: Set in the Insta360 app's main interface
Open the Insta360 app > tap "Me" in the bottom right corner > "Watermark settings" > select "Export Watermark Settings" > toggle on "Video watermark" / "Photo watermark" and set the watermark style and position.

Method 2: Set in the Editor page
On the video export page, tap the "Export" icon > enter "Save Settings" > tap "Watermark Settings" > toggle on "Video watermark" and set the watermark style and position.
Method 3: Set in the Player/Album page
- Single export: In the Export panel, tap "Watermark Settings" > toggle on "Video watermark" and set the watermark style and position.
- Batch export
- Media with post-production stabilization: After toggling on "Video watermark", the media is exported with watermarks without any editing required.
- In-camera stabilized media: The media is exported without watermarks by default if no editing is performed. To add a watermark, you need to perform any editing operations other than trimming, such as applying a filter or adjusting the color, before exporting.
Please note:
- Leica watermarks are automatically added to videos and photos taken with Leica-lens cameras.
- The watermark will only be visible after exporting the media following the steps above. It will not appear when downloading media or on the shooting screen.
- For example, when adding an Ace series camera watermark (Leica Watermark), if you are using an Android phone and want to add a borderless Leica Watermark of this series to certain media (such as 6K/8K photos, etc.), you need to first edit the media (e.g., apply color grading, color enhancement, etc.) before exporting so that the watermark can be successfully added.
- For media generated in the Starlapse Mode, both the Starlapse Video and Star Trails Video support exporting and adding the camera watermark; however, the Star Trails Photo currently does not support this feature.
- When you shoot in the Starlapse Mode, two types of files are generated (photo group and in-camera synthesized video): For photo groups, adding camera watermarks is not supported during export, and only the default brand watermark can be used; for in-camera synthesized videos, when you export a video through the Insta360 app, camera watermarks containing model information can be added normally.
Scenario 2: Time watermarks cannot be added or do not display
Step 1: Confirm the conditions for enabling watermarks are met
- The time watermark is only supported in the following shooting modes: Video, FreeFrame Video, Loop Recording, PureVideo, Active HDR, and Dashdam (If Time Watermark is already enabled on the camera, you cannot add it again in the Insta360 app)
- The media is an original file exported directly from the camera (files exported via Insta360 Studio or the Insta360 app do not support adding watermarks)
- The Insta360 app has been updated to the latest version
Step 2: Enable Time Watermark
Open the Player (formerly the Playback page in Album) > tap the "Settings" icon in the upper left corner > toggle on "Time watermark".

Please note:
- Please set the time watermark before editing media. Once you enter the Editor page or Edit page, you cannot set it anymore.
- In newer versions of the Insta360 app (v2.0.0 or later), the time watermark does not support changing the Year-Month-Day format.
Scenario 3: Photos from the Insta360 app for iOS do not display the watermarks
Description
After capturing photos using Ace, Ace Pro, Ace Pro 2, GO 3, GO 3S, or GO Ultra, when navigating to the "Me" in the Insta360 app for iOS > tapping "Watermark settings" > "Export Watermark Settings" > adding a photo watermark, the exported photos do not display the watermark.
