Description
- The Insta360 app crashes during custom export after recording.
- The Insta360 app crashes during the recording process.
- The Insta360 app crashes during the preview after the recording is completed.
Solution
Step 1: Check the basic settings
- Check the Insta360 app version: Please visit the Insta360 Downloads to check if your Insta360 app is updated to the latest version. If not, update it first.
- Clear Insta360 app cache: Open the Insta360 app, tap "Me" > "Clear Cache". After clearing the cache, restart the Insta360 app and try screen recording again.
- Disable the Smoothing feature: Please navigate to the video playback page, then tap the icon on the left to disable the "Smoothing" feature, which helps reduce memory usage.
Please note: The "Smoothing" feature in the Insta360 app may not be available on some device models. If you cannot find this option, you can skip this step directly.

Step 2: Select an appropriate export method
When exporting media, you can choose between "Quick Export" or "Custom Export" based on your needs. The operations for each method are as follows:
- Quick Export: Low memory usage, compatible with videos of all durations. This option may not be available on some device models. If unavailable, refer to the instructions for Custom Export below.
- If the duration is within 30 minutes: We recommend you use "Quick Export" directly after you finish recording.
- If the duration exceeds 30 minutes: Due to the large file size and high RAM consumption (which may affect screen recording quality), please first trim the media on the playback page (segmented trimming is not supported at this time), and then proceed to the recording page for operation. In addition, after the recording is completed, it is recommended that you use the "Quick Export" feature.
Please note: The default resolution / frame rate parameter for Quick Export is 1080p@30fps.

- Custom Export: Use this feature when you need to adjust export parameters; compatible with videos of all durations. We recommend you try the following steps:
- After the recording is completed, do not click "Export" directly. Return to the previous page, and the system will automatically save a recording draft.
- Re-enter the draft page, adjust the custom parameters as needed, and then export.
