Insta360 App: Live Activity
Insta360 App: Live Activity
Applicable Models: GO Ultra
The Insta360 app's Live Activity feature is a convenient auxiliary tool designed specifically for Insta360 cameras. It allows you to view the camera's connection status in real-time and start/stop recording directly from your phone's lock screen or notification bar. It also promptly alerts you to abnormal camera states such as overheating or low battery, making shooting operations more efficient and status monitoring more timely, thus providing you with a worry-free and smooth shooting experience.
How to enable the Live Activity feature
iOS devices (iPad is not supported)
Go to "Settings" on your phone > find and select "Insta360" > tap "Notifications" > enable "Live Activities". Once enabled, live activities will be displayed on the lock screen or in the Dynamic Island.
Please note: Currently, this feature is only supported on iPhone 14 Pro and later models and requires the system to be updated to iOS 16.1 or later.

Android devices
- Most models: No special settings are required. Live activity display in the notification bar is supported by default, allowing you to directly control shooting operations and check camera state.
- If you are using a Xiaomi phone: Please go to "Notifications & Status Bar" settings > "Notification Style" > Select "Android Style" to enable the Live Activity feature.
How to use the Live Activity feature
Please open the Insta360 app, then minimize it (let it run in the background) and enter the lock screen to start using the feature.
- Before shooting: Information such as the current connection status is displayed in a banner on the lock screen. You can start shooting directly via the Live Activity box.

- During shooting: The banner on the lock screen will synchronize the shooting status in real-time, and you can stop shooting via the Live Activity box.

- When the camera disconnects, the banner will promptly display "Camera disconnected".

- Alerts for abnormal camera states include: Overheating (camera temperature is too high, recording stopped), Low Battery (low battery level, recording stopped), and SD Card Issues (no SD card / SD card full / SD card error, recording stopped).
