Insta360 App: Sharing Videos to Social Media Platforms

How to share flat videos to social media platforms (e.g., YouTube / Facebook)

1. Download and log in to YouTube/Facebook and ensure your account can upload and share videos normally.
2. Open the Insta360 app and export the flat video you want to share.
3. After exporting, tap the quick jump shortcut for your desired third-party platform at the bottom of the page.
4. Jump to the corresponding platform (YouTube / Facebook). Follow its prompts to complete the sharing process.

How to share 360 videos to social media platforms (e.g., Google Photos app)

When exporting 360 videos, you can choose the export type (Flat / 360) and the target platform.

Please note: The final presentation of 360 videos depends on whether the platform supports panoramic display. (For example, 360 videos exported to Apple's Photos app, which doesn't support panoramic display, will only be displayed as a flat equirectangular projection, as illustrated below).

Here are the steps for platforms verified to support panoramic display:

Facebook/YouTube App

1. Download and log in to the Facebook/YouTube app, ensuring your account can upload and share videos normally.
2. Export the 360 video you want to share using the Insta360 app.
3. After exporting, tap the third-party platform link below to proceed.
4. In the Facebook/YouTube app, tap to upload a photo or video, select the exported 360 video from your album, and complete the upload.

Please note:

• Currently, uploading 360 photos to the YouTube app is not supported, only 360 videos can be uploaded to the app.
• Only the Insta360 app for Android supports sharing 360 videos and 360 photos to Facebook; the Insta360 app for iOS currently does not support sharing 360 photos to Facebook.

Google Street View (GSV) App

1. Download and log in to the Google Street View (GSV) app, ensuring that your account can upload and share videos normally.
2. Use the Insta360 app to export the 360 video you want to share.
3. After exporting, click the third-party platform link below.
4. In the Google Street View (GSV) app, tap on correponding options to upload your image or video (video must be exported in 4K), select the exported 360 video from your album, and complete the upload.

How to share 360 videos on platforms that don't support panoramic display

If your desired platform does not natively support panoramic display, you can share it by generating a link to share. Please follow these steps:

1. Update your Insta360 app to v2.8.0 or later.
2. Open the Insta360 app > tap "Album" > select the 360 video you want to share.

1. Tap the "Export" button in the top right > select "360° Video" > Tap "Share with Friends".

1. Trim the clip to be shared (up to 30 seconds) and tap "Share".

1. Then, tap "Copy Link" > paste this link into your desired platform.

Please note:

• Duration limit for sharing local 360 videos: Up to 30 seconds. The shared links have no expiration date and remain valid indefinitely.
• There is no time limit for sharing cloud media. The shared link can be chosen to be valid indefinitely.
