Please note:

  • For flat videos, you can change the resolution and bitrate upon export, but not the frame rate. 360 videos can be exported from both the Album and Player pages, but the resolution can only be changed to 1080P/4K.
  • You cannot export edited 360 videos from the Record / Editor / Auto Edit pages. You can only export unedited 360 videos or edited flat videos from the "Album" or "Player" page.
  • Most phones cannot natively play 360 videos and will display them as a 2:1 equirectangular flat video. You can re-import 360 videos from your phone's local album into the Insta360 app via "Create a Video" on the "Edit" page to reframe them.

Method 3: From the Edit page

Tap the Export button in the top right > select "Save Settings" > change settings as needed and tap "Export to Phone".

  • Open your phone's "File Manager" app and try searching for keywords like "VID", "DCIM", "insv" in the device storage to see if you can find the video files.
  • Connect your phone to a computer via MTP mode and search for keywords like "VID" and "insv" on the computer to see if you can open the corresponding folder.
  • If the above methods don't work, your phone's system likely imposes strict restrictions on accessing this system directory. It is recommended to export photos and videos from the Insta360 app for use, or connect the camera directly to a computer to get the original photo and video files.
