Instructions

For Insta360 app versions prior to v2.0.0

• Playback page in Album: Tap the Ratio icon in the top right corner. The supported ratios include 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, and 2.35:1.
• Edit page: Tap "Create a Video" > "Ratio". The supported ratios include 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 2.35:1, 4:3, and 3:4.

For Insta360 app v2.0.0 and later

Method 1: On the Player page, tap the Aspect Ratio icon in the top right corner, then select your desired ratio from the dropdown menu.

Method 2: On the Player page, tap "Editor" > tap the Aspect Ratio icon in the top right corner, then select your desired ratio from the dropdown menu.

Method 3: On the Edit page, tap "Create a Video" > tap the Aspect Ratio icon in the top right corner, then select your desired ratio from the dropdown menu.

Please note:

• Starting from version V2.4.0, the Insta360 app supports editing videos and photos with a 4:3 or 3:4 aspect ratio in the Advanced Editing page, except for videos and photos shot with GO 3 cameras.
• For videos and photos shot with GO 3, only FreeFrame videos and photos support 4:3 or 3:4 aspect ratios within the Insta360 app for Android; other video and photo types do not support these ratios.

FAQ

1. Why do my exported videos have inconsistent aspect ratios when I select 16:9 to export videos shot with multiple cameras in the Insta360 app?

The ability to change the aspect ratio during export depends on the shooting mode. Videos shot in the FreeFrame mode can be exported in different aspect ratios. However, videos recorded in Video or Loop Recording mode will maintain their original aspect ratio upon export, even if a different ratio is selected.

2. Which recording modes allow changing the aspect ratio during post-production?

GO 3 and GO 3S: FreeFrame Video, Timelapse, and TimeShift

Ace, Ace Pro, and Ace Pro 2: FreeFrame Video only

3. Can I crop videos and photos in the Insta360 app?
