Device and Media Requirements

Before using the AI Selfie Stick Eraser feature, please ensure your device and media meet the following requirements:

• Device requirements
  • iPhone: iPhone 12 & later models, and iPhone SE (3rd Gen).
  • iPad: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (4th Gen and later), 11-inch iPad Pro (2nd Gen and later), iPad 8, iPad 9, iPad mini 6, iPad Air 4, and iPad Air 5.
  • Android devices: Devices with a Snapdragon 865, Dimensity 8100, Exynos 2200, or better processor.

Please note: If your device's performance is insufficient, you might not find the AI Selfie Stick Eraser template in the Insta360 app. You can try enabling "Performance Mode": Open the Insta360 app, tap "Me", scroll down to find "Performance Mode" in App Settings, and enable it. However, please note that enabling Performance Mode may lead to other issues such as app crashes.

• Media Requirements
  • Incompatible cameras: Not supported for media shot with 360 cameras.
  • Compatible cameras and modes: Only applicable to videos shot with Ace Series cameras in Video or FreeFrame mode.
  • Maximum specifications: Up to 4K resolution and 60fps frame rate.

Please note: If you are using a 360 camera, you can use it with an Invisible Selfie Stick to eliminate selfie stick traces and achieve an invisible effect.

For both standard and underwater shooting, it is recommended to shoot and use the feature in scenes with clean backgrounds, uniform colors, and minimal texture (e.g., skiing). Avoid situations where the selfie stick overlaps with your body.

3. Which Insta360 selfie sticks does AI Selfie Stick Eraser support? Is it compatible with third-party selfie sticks?

It is recommended to use official selfie sticks (excluding 3-meter sticks and foldable sticks).

4. Are there any limitations on the clarity of exported videos?

• Apple devices: Supports up to 1080p, with the exported video's frame rate consistent with the original video.
• Android devices: Supports up to 720p, with the exported video's frame rate consistent with the original video.

Please note: Due to factors such as mobile device performance, processing effects, and processing time, exporting videos with higher resolutions is not currently supported. Additionally, the AI Selfie Stick Eraser feature is only available in the Insta360 app, as the performance of a camera itself is insufficient to support the selfie stick removal algorithm.

5. What is the maximum video length supported by the AI Selfie Stick Eraser feature?

• Duration of imported video: Videos between 5 seconds and 30 minutes (1800 seconds).
• Duration of exported video:
  • Apple devices: Processed videos can be exported with a length between 5 seconds and 120 seconds.
  • Android devices: Processed videos can be exported with a length between 5 seconds and 30 seconds.

Please note: The actual duration of successfully processed videos may vary depending on device performance, original video length, bitrate, and other factors.

6. Will using the Selfie Stick Sleeve or Invisible Selfie Stick affect the AI Selfie Stick Eraser feature?

Using the official Selfie Stick Sleeve or Invisible Selfie Stick will not affect the normal use of the AI Selfie Stick Eraser feature in the Insta360 app.
