FAQ

1. Do I need to tap the "√" in the top right corner to save the operation every time I switch aspect ratios, rotate or flip a photo?

No. During a single editing session, all adjustment parameters are automatically carried over. You only need to tap "Save" once after completing all your edits.

2. Why is the Reset button greyed out? / Why can't I tap the Reset button?

The Reset button is greyed out if you haven't made any adjustments. Once you make an adjustment, you can tap the Reset button.

3. What are the maximum and minimum zoom ratios supported during cropping?
  • The maximum zoom factor when cropping is 25x. After zooming in to 25x, you can continue to manually zoom in further (up to a maximum of 35x), but the view will revert to 25x upon release.
  • The minimum supported short side of the cropping frame is 64 pixels. When using the fixed ratio 1:1, the minimum supported cropping frame is 64 x 64 pixels.

4. Does the aspect ratio change when rotating by 90°?

Rotating by 90° swaps the width and height ratio. For example, 16:9 becomes 9:16. The ratio remains unchanged for 1:1.

5. Why does dragging the corners of the cropping frame only allow cropping to a fixed ratio?

If a lock icon appears in the top-right corner of the cropping frame, it means you have selected a fixed ratio or the Original Ratio. You can select "Free Ratio" to crop freely as desired.

6. Will the cropping feature affect watermark display?

Within the cropping feature, Crop, Rotate, and Flip operations do not affect the watermark display.

  • When using a fixed ratio, the watermark is displayed according to that fixed ratio, regardless of the zoom level.
  • When using a free ratio, the watermark will adapt to the image.

7. Why do I get a prompt "The current size does not support watermarks" after cropping?

This prompt appears because the cropped image size does not meet the minimum size requirements for watermark display. The specific requirements are as follows:

  • Watermark without frame: Image width ≥ 500 pixels; height ≥ 100 pixels.
  • Watermark with frame: Image width ≥ 500 pixels.

8. Why does the thumbnail in Album of the Insta360 app still show the uncropped version after I crop a photo?

Currently, the album thumbnails do not synchronize to show the cropping effect. You need to tap on the photo to view the final, cropped version.
