AI Warp is a new feature in the Shot Lab that utilizes advanced AI algorithms and offers a variety of cool effects, including Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi, Space, and Anime. It also supports generating custom effects according to text descriptions, transforming ordinary videos into creative masterpieces with just one click. This article provides operational guidance for this feature and related FAQ answers to help you get started quickly.
How to use AI Warp
- Tap "Edit" > tap "Shot Lab" > select "AI Warp" > tap "Use This Theme" to add your clip for editing and generation.
- On the timeline, select your desired clip to apply the AI effect.
- AI Warp provides three effect modes for your selection based on your needs:
- Full AI effect: Select your desired effect style in the "Select style" section below, then tap "Preview" in the lower left corner to view the AI effect.
- Custom AI effect: In the "Select area" section, choose "Custom". Use your finger to paint over the specific area of the frame you want to apply the effect. The algorithm will automatically expand the selection to the whole target object. Then, select your desired style and tap "Preview" to view the AI effect in real-time.
- Custom prompt effect: In the "Select style" section, tap "Custom". Enter a descriptive prompt or a preset style keyword. The system will automatically generate a matching AI effect based on your text.
- Tap "Make AI video" in the lower right corner to render your AIGC creation with one tap. You can then check the generation progress by tapping "AI Warp" in the upper right corner of the Edit page.
- Once the AI rendering is complete, you can adjust the video speed, choose background music, and make other edits. After finalizing your settings, tap the "Export" button in the upper right corner to export the final video to the phone.
Please note: The AI Warp effect lasts for 2 to 4 seconds.

I. Media
- Which camera models or products does AI Warp support?
It supports all camera models. For non-Ace series cameras, the Insta360 app needs to be updated to version v1.56.0 or later.
- What shooting modes does AI Warp support?
- Supported media: 360 videos and flat videos, including videos shot in Video, FreeFrame, Active HDR, PureVideo, Slow Motion, TimeShift, Timelapse, and other modes.
- Unsupported media: Photos and videos shot in Bullet Time, Loop Recording, or Starlapse modes.
Please note: 360 media can only be exported as flat media.
- What are the requirements for media imported into AI Warp?
- Media duration: Up to 15 seconds
- AI Warp effect: 4 to 15 seconds
- Resolution: Up to 4K for flat video, and up to 5.7K for 360 videos
II. Usage Limit & Diamonds
- How many AI Warp videos can I generate per day? Can I buy extra generations if I run out?
- Free generations: 3 free generations per day. The number of free generations will be reset at 8:00 (Beijing Time) the next day.
- Redeem extra generations with diamonds: After using up the free generations, each generation costs 20 diamonds. Multiple generations cannot be redeemed at once.
Please note: If you cannot find the Diamond feature, please update your Insta360 app to the latest version.
- How can I get diamonds?
Diamonds can be obtained by topping up or redeeming with Insta360 Gold (Requires Insta360 app version v1.58.0 or later).
- If the generation of an AI Warp video is interrupted or fails, will the diamonds be consumed? How are they refunded?
- If the AI Warp video upload is canceled, interrupted, or fails: Diamonds are not consumed.
- If the AI Warp video generation task fails: Diamonds will be automatically refunded by the system.
III. AI Warp Watermark
Can the watermark (AI Generation) of AI Warp be removed?
The watermark (AI Generation) added to the content or media generated by the AI Wrap cannot be removed according to requirements of legal and copyright protection regulations and it must remain on the content or media. Thank you for your understanding.
