Insta360 App: Connect Pocket Printer to Print Photos

Applicable Models: ONE X, X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, X5, Ace, Ace Pro, Ace Pro 2, GO 3, GO 3S, GO Ultra, ONE R, and ONE RS

The Insta360 app now supports connection to Pocket Printer. You can conveniently check the Pocket Printer's serial number and firmware version on your mobile phone and perform firmware updates, photo printing, and other operations.

Media types supported by Pocket Printer

Camera files

Pocket Printer supports printing the following flat photos from your camera directly:

• Ace Series, GO Series, and X Series: Flat photos captured in the Photo, HDR Photo, Starlapse, Interval, and Burst Photo Modes.
• ONE R and ONE RS: Flat photos captured with non-fisheye lenses.

Please note:

• Pocket Printer does not support printing media files shot with ONE cameas.
• For 360 photos, you must first export the media as a flat photo from the Insta360 app and then initiate printing from your system album.

Files in phone's album

• Printing photos in JPEG, PNG, and RAW formats is supported.
• Printing live photos is supported (the cover is printed by default).
• Videos cannot be printed, and they will be automatically filtered out of the Album page when printing.
• HEIF photos (i.e., photos captured by iOS devices in the "High Efficiency" format) cannot be printed.

How to connect Pocket Printer via the Insta360 app to print photos

The Insta360 app v2.19.0 or later supports printing photos from Camera/Downloaded/Album

For printing non-360 photos

1. Ensure that your Insta360 app is updated to v2.19.0 or later.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone and power on Pocket Printer.
3. Open the Insta360 app, tap "Me" at the bottom right > navigate to "Pocket Printer" > tap "Connect".

1. After a successful connection, tap "Pocket Printer" > "Print photo" to select and print flat photos from Camera/Downloaded/Album.

1. After selecting a file, you can adjust the photo before tapping "Start printing".

For printing 360 photos

1. In the Insta360 app, tap "Album" > tap the media file you want to print > tap the "Export" icon in the top right corner > "Flat photo" > "Save to album".

1. Update your Insta360 app to v2.19.0 or later.
2. Please ensure that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on and that Pocket Printer is powered on.
3. Open the Insta360 app, and tap "Me" in the bottom right corner > "Pocket Printer" > "Connect".
4. After a successful connection, tap "Pocket Printer" > "Print photos" and select the photos saved in your phone's album to start printing.

Insta360 app v2.20.0 or later supports batch printing / printing multiple photos

Please update your Insta360 app to v2.20.0 or later. After connecting to the Pocket Printer, you can select up to 5 photos for batch printing at a time. You can check the printing progress in the "Printing Queue".

Please note: After connecting the Pocket Printer to the Insta360 app, you can check the serial number and firmware version of the printer and update the firmware.
