Ace Series: Camera Activation Failure / Abnormalities

Applicable Models: Ace, Ace Pro, and Ace Pro 2

Solution

  1. Update firmware

Open the Insta360 app and connect to the camera. Check if the firmware is the latest version. If not, follow the instructions to complete the update.

  1. Check network

Disable the VPN function on your phone and ensure that mobile data is turned on.

  1. Configure permissions
  • Basic permissions: Enable GPS and Bluetooth permissions for the Insta360 app.
  • Network permissions:
    • Android: Go to your phone's Settings and disable "WLAN+" and "Auto switch to mobile data" features.
    • iOS: Go to your phone's Settings and enable "Local Network" permission for the Insta360 app.
  1. Reconnect the camera to the Insta360 app.
