FAQ

1. Will the quality of the footage be affected when the AI Highlights Assistant is enabled?

No. The video output by the Highlights Assistant is identical in quality to the original video.

2. What does the AI Highlights Assistant do?

The camera automatically identifies the best moments as you record. When you connect it to your phone, the Insta360 app instantly delivers a ready-edited highlight reel in "Album" > "Memories" and cuts the clip-creation time.

3. Can several highlight clips be saved as a single file?

Yes, they can be saved as a single file in Video and Loop Recording modes. In the album, select the clips, tap "Save As" in the upper right corner, then select "Separate Clips" or "Merge Clips".

Please note: Highlight clips shot in FreeFrame Video mode cannot currently be saved directly within the camera; they must be exported via the Insta360 app for stabilization processing.

4. Is there a set length for the clips tagged by the AI Highlights Assistant?

The AI intelligent algorithm will automatically adjust each clip's length according to the content and excitement level, so durations are flexible.

Manually tagged highlights, however, have fixed durations:

  • Single tap (< 2S): 1s before + 1s after the tap.
  • Long press (≥ 2S): clip equals the pressed duration (minimum 2s).
