Lens guards come in different designs. Please refer to the following instructions based on your camera model:
The lens guard can be removed and replaced by users. However, it is recommended not to remove it during daily use to prevent lens abrasion.
Steps for installation and removal:
Please note: Ensure the lens guard is securely tightened during installation to prevent it from loosening or falling off during shooting.
The lens guards on these two camera models are of a fixed design and cannot be removed.
If there are suspected minor scratches on the surface of the lens guard, try using a clean, soft lens cloth or eyeglass cloth dipped in a small amount of alcohol to gently wipe the surface. Then check if the marks can be removed.
Ace and Ace Pro
The lens guard cannot be replaced by users. If it is severely worn or cracked, we recommend you apply for Insta360 Repair Service for professional diagnostics.
Ace Pro 2
The lens guard can be replaced separately. If there are scratches, cracks, etc., you can purchase a new lens guard through Insta360's official sales channels and replace it yourself.
Please note: If a small amount of dust enters the lens after you remove the Ace Pro 2 Lens Guard, it will not affect image quality, and you can continue to use the lens as normal. If you need to clean the lens, please remove the Lens Guard first, then gently wipe it with a clean lens cloth.
