Waterproofing
Q1 What is the waterproof depth of Ace Pro 2?
Ace Pro 2 is waterproof up to 39ft (12m). For extended underwater shooting, we recommend using our dive case, which boosts waterproofing to up to 196ft (60m).
Q2 How can I make sure Ace Pro 2 remains waterproof?
Before Use:
- Before using the camera underwater, make sure the Battery Cover and USB Cover are fully closed, and the Lens Guard is securely installed, or else the camera will not be waterproof. Also, check that the rubber seals are free of any debris or dust as this can compromise the waterproofing.
- The camera comes with a pre-installed Wind Guard. Removing or installing the Wind Guard and Mic Cap does not affect the camera's waterproofing. Dampness may impact sound quality and noise reduction. Before using the camera on rainy days or for water sports, remove the Wind Guard or replace it with the Mic Cap.
- Before using the camera in water, swipe down from the top of the touchscreen and tap 🔒 to lock the screen and prevent accidental button presses/settings changes. You can use the Power Button to change modes once the camera is locked.
During Use:
- To keep the camera in good, waterproof condition, avoid using it in high-humidity environments for longer than one hour. This includes saunas, steam rooms, and hot springs.
Tip: The suggested operating temperature is -4℉ to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C)
- When using the camera, avoid dramatic temperature or humidity changes as condensation may form on or within the camera, which may affect image quality.
- Avoid jumping into the water at a high speed with the camera. The impact may result in water seeping into the camera. For sports like diving or surfing, we recommend using the Dive Case.
After Use:
- Do not use a hair dryer to dry the speaker and microphone holes, as this may damage the internal waterproofing.
Note: After underwater use, the microphone's audio quality may be reduced for up to 8 hours.
- After using the camera in water, clean and dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. Open the flip screen and allow it to dry before the next use to prevent any damage to the camera. Ensure the camera is completely dry before opening the battery cover and removing the battery.
Note: After using the camera in seawater, please rinse it with clean water (flip screen open), then soak it in fresh water for 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, wipe it with a cloth and leave it to dry.
- When replacing the Lens Guard, ensure Ace Pro 2 is dry. Moisture may cause fogging on the lens and affect image quality.
