Ace Series: Indicator Light Settings

The indicator light provides clear feedback on the camera status. This article describes how to configure the indicator light for different models and explains the meaning of its various states, helping you quickly understand the camera's operational status.

Instructions

Ace and Ace Pro

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > find "Indicator Light" icon (lightbulb icon) > tap to toggle it on or off.

Ace Pro 2

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > tap "General" > find "Indicator Light", and tap to toggle it on or off.

Indicator light status explanations

Camera Status	Indicator Light Status
Powered on	Solid cyan
Powering on	Flashing cyan 3 times
Standby / standby (charging) / standby (fully charged)	Solid cyan
Powering off	Flashing cyan 5 times
Charging (powered off)	Solid red; turns off when fully charged
Recording	Flashing red
Countdown > 1s	Flashing cyan
Countdown ≤ 1s	Flashing cyan 5 times
Pre-recording in progress	Solid cyan
U-Disk Mode / Webcam	Solid cyan
Downloading footage via the Insta360 app	Flashing green
Connected to Quick Reader	Solid green
Quick Reader in operation	Flashing green
Quick Reader error / insufficient storage space / backup interrupted / formatting failed	Flashing yellow 3 times and stopping
No card in Quick Reader	Flashing yellow
Updating firmware	Blue light fading in and out once a second
Storage space full	Solid yellow
Low battery	Continuously flashing yellow
High temperature warning	Flashing yellow 3 times rapidly and stopping
