Ace Series: Photos with Identical Exposure Parameters Have Different Brightness

Ace Series: Photos with Identical Exposure Parameters Have Different Brightness

Applicable Models: Ace, Ace Pro, and Ace Pro 2

Description

Two photos taken with the same exposure parameters show a difference in actual brightness. For example, if both are shot at a shutter speed of 1/120, and one is captured with an ISO setting of 3200 or 6400, while the other is captured with ISOMax 3200 or 6400, the latter will appear brighter.

Solution

This occurs because when ISO is manually set to a fixed value, the camera employs a fixed curve strategy. In contrast, ISOMax is a fully automatic mode and does not use a fixed curve. The resulting photos will differ, and this difference is more noticeable in low-light environments.

To minimize this brightness difference and produce cleaner photos, we recommend using the PureShot Mode. To do so, swipe up from the bottom of the camera screen in the Photo Mode to access the shooting specifications settings page > tap "Photo Format" on the left > select "PureShot".
