1. What is the waterproof rating of X4 Air?

X4 Air has an IPX8 waterproof rating.

• Without dive case: Waterproof up to 49ft (15m)
• With dive case: Waterproof up to 197ft (15m)

Please note that due to different light refraction underwater, no 360 camera can achieve seamless stitching without a dive case or housing. For the best image quality, always use the official Insta360 X4 Air Invisible Dive Case when shooting underwater.

2. Can X4 Air shoot underwater without a dive case?

Yes, but stitching quality may be affected. For the best results, always use the official Insta360 X4 Air Invisible Dive Case whenever you plan to shoot underwater, especially for extended periods or at greater depths.

3. What precautions should be taken when using X4 Air underwater?

Before use:

• Check that the battery and USB covers are clean, undamaged, and sealed properly.
• Make sure both covers are locked and the orange marks are not visible.

After use:

• Rinse the camera thoroughly with clean water.
• Soak it in fresh water for 5–10 minutes.
• Dry it with a soft cloth and let it air dry completely before opening the battery cover.
• If the speaker or microphone sound muffled, gently shake out the water and place the camera upright in a dry, ventilated area for at least 24 hours.
• If the issue continues, contact customer support.
