Updating the firmware of your Snap Selfie Screen improves shooting stability, fixes known issues, and may add new features. It helps you enjoy a more stable and refined user experience.

How to upgrade or downgrade the firmware version

1. Pre-update preparation

Firmware updates require downloading the firmware package via a computer. Before updating, ensure your computer meets the following conditions:

• Windows system: Windows 10 or later version
• macOS system: macOS 13 or later version

Please note: The firmware update packages for Windows and macOS are different. Please download the update package that matches your computer system.

2. Download the firmware package

Visit Insta360 Downloads to download the firmware update package for your Selfie Screen.

3. Connect the device and launch the update program

Connect the Selfie Screen to your computer using the included Type-C data cable. A successful connection is confirmed when the Selfie Screen displays "Connected to computer". Then double-click the downloaded firmware package on your computer and click "Next" to enter the version information page.

4. Select the firmware version

Click "Select Version", and the page will show the current firmware version and all available versions (sorted from the latest to the oldest). Select the desired version to upgrade or downgrade, then click "Next" to enter the update page.

5. Run the upgrade or downgrade program

Click "Run" to start the update. The Selfie Screen will display "Updating in progress", and you can check the progress via the progress bar on your computer. The update process cannot be canceled, so please keep the selfie screen connected. The "Run" and "Completed" options will be grayed out during this stage; please wait patiently.

6. Complete the firmware upgrade or downgrade

Once the progress reaches 100%, click "Completed" and close the firmware update program. A successful upgrade/downgrade is confirmed when the Selfie Screen displays "The update has been completed.", and you can disconnect the selfie screen from your computer.
