Updating your Firmware
Important:
- Please ensure the camera's battery has more than 10% remaining.
- Please do not take out the battery or the SD card while updating.
Update via ONE R App:
- Connect ONE R to your phone and open the Insta360 App on your phone. How do I connect?
- When you're due an update, the app will give you an update notice, then hit 'Downlaod'.
- After downloading, follow the on-screen instructions to connect to ONE R's again and upload the firmware.
- After uploading, ONE R will start updating automatically. The indicator will be solid blue and screen will turn off during the update,and ONE R will restart automatically after the update is complete.
- You can check the current firmware version via the turn on animation on the screen of your ONE R.
Update via SD Card:
- Download the ONE R camera firmware via the Insta360 website.
- Connect ONE R to a computer via the official USB cable, now the computer can directly access files on the ONE R.
- Copy the Insta360OneRFW.bin file to your ONE R directly rather than other folders on your ONE R‘s SD card
Notice: Please make sure you have deleted the old firmware bin file and kept the file name of the newly downloaded firmware unchanged; otherwise the system might not be able to identify the latest firmware automatically, which will cause issues when updating.
- Disconnect ONE R from your computer and press the power button to turn on the camera.
- ONE R will check the firmware and update automatically, the indicator will flash green during the update.
- ONE R will restart automatically after the update is completed.
- You can check the current firmware version via the turn on animation on the screen of your ONE R.
